Despite challenges faced by the Covid -19 pandemic, the CITC team are focussed on what can be done to support the children in the rural Solukhumbu region to continue with their education. In association with The Collaborative Schools Network, CITC are co-ordinating and producing 4,800 high quality home learning packs across grades 1-3, to be distributed to students from 114 schools across 5 rural Municipalities in the Solukhumbu region. The packs cover key skills in Maths, English, Science, Social and Nepali. They are now being rolled out and have started to reach the communities where they have been extremely well received by the children as well as the school principals, teachers and parents.

CITC’s team of sponsored teachers have been busy in their villages helping to distribute the packs as well as preparing additional learning resources and supporting the children and their families with small group activities and home visits.

In order to reach as many children as possible, we need help from CITC’s supporters. Just £1.50 will provide a home learning pack for a child for a term. £15 could reach 10 children! All donations will be spent directly on the production and distribution of the packs.
